Altinget increases the political coverage with new consumer product

Altinget in Denmark is enhancing the thorough and independent coverage of Danish and European politics. For the first time in the media’s 25-year history, Altinget will now offer a subscription for consumers named Altinget Privat.

"With Altinget Privat our readers gain unique insights into politics they won’t find elsewhere," says CEO of Alrow Media, Anne Marie Kindberg.

"We don't chase breaking news or strive to be first. Instead, we focus on exploring the substance and explaining why parties and politicians act as they do," she adds.

With offices in Brussels, Copenhagen, Oslo, and Stockholm, Altinget already provides the most in-depth coverage of Danish and EU politics to professional readers.

"We’ve seen increasing interest from private users in our journalism over time, but we didn’t have a product tailored for them before now,” explains Anne Marie Kindberg.

For DKK 129 per month, users will get access to the new product, where they get news, interviews, and analyses from Altinget's journalists. Additionally, the platform features commentary from some of the country’s sharpest opinion leaders.

"High-quality, independent journalism comes at a cost, and we’re offering it at an affordable price," Anne Marie Kindberg says.

Altinget’s business customers will continue to receive specialized news and analysis from the niche areas, which private subscribers will not have access to. However, business niche customers will gain full access to Altinget Privat.

The new product Altinget Privat will be available at Altinget.dk from January 14th 2025.
