Foundation

Denmark has a long tradition of full or partial foundation owned companies. Such structures have proven to be sustainable in the long term along with the added benefit of preventing ownership concentration. A foundation is established by irrevocable deed of gift by the founder, meaning it is self-owned and controlled according to specific legislation. It is the wish of Alrow Media’s founder in the medium term (and later by testamentary gift) to set up a foundation named as the “Alrow Fonden”. This foundation based in Copenhagen will in the future be co-owner of Alrow Media along with the Nielsen Family. By definition this foundation will have the purpose of enlightening democracy and also serve as an advisory & supportive function to the family ownership.
