Alrow Media launches Altinget Norway

Altinget is now moving one step closer to the vision of becoming the Nordic region's largest political media house. It will happen when the Altinget Norway opens on Monday 3 October 2022 with the presence of the Norwegian minister for Culture Anette Trettebergstuen.

"We are ready to deliver fact-based political journalism both to the generally interested reader and to professional environments that work in the areas where we open niche media. The very core of the Altinget's journalism is to go in depth, so that readers can better understand, what is happening," says Altinget's Norwegian editor-in-chief, Veslemøy Østrem.

Altinget has already existed for 22 years in Denmark and for 8 years in Sweden.

"For the Alrow Media group, which owns Altinget, it is a milestone in relation to the dream of creating the largest political media house in the Nordics," says Christoph Nørgaard, CEO of Alrow Media.

Altinget Norge starts with five niche media - with more to come.

Altinget has settled in the center of the media business district, Akersgata in central Oslo, just a stone's throw from the Stortinget, which will be the media's main focal point. But Altinget Norway will also cover international politics, regional and municipal politics.

"It is a pleasure to be able to launch a quality product and base the business on a good subscription and advertising model. It gives space to focus on the users and a good user experience – and to avoid clickbait headlines and the pursuit of page views," says Marius Zachariasen , commercial director of Altinget Norway.
